PAUL

Hello! I am Paul, and I run Pneuma Private Travel & Tours with my wife, Evidence.

It is needless to say, but – I love wine! I am a professional sommelier, having worked in the finest restaurants in the bustling tourist city of Cape Town – ensuring visitors from all over the world experience the best that South Africa has to offer.

That’s what led us to start Pneuma Tours. I was constantly asked for and referred to by people for recommendations for wine farms to visit and a personalised tour. One private tour became two, two became four, and now we put smiles on people faces almost every day.

We would love to host you, and give you a memory of a life time!

TESTIMONIAL FROM JULIA – LONDON, ENGLAND

“My partner Jon and I visited Cape Town for the first time in June 2018. We had originally come to watch a Rugby Match and were only staying for 4 nights. We wanted to do a vineyard and wine tasting tour but our time had run short and we only had our last day available when we needed to be at the airport by 3pm.

We contacted Paul Zantsi who had been recommended as a top sommelier by one of Cape Towns best waterfront restaurants. Our time limit wasn’t an issue for him. Within hours he had planned multi vineyard trip personalised to our needs.

Paul and his delightful wife Evidence, arrived to collect us from our downtown hotel promptly at 9am. From there they took us on an enjoyable drive straight the the beautiful De Grendel vineyard. We were met by a very polite and knowledgable guide who allowed us to try many wines including limited editions. This was only down to Paul’s professional reputation and relationship with the vineyard. We managed to purchase some incredible dessert wines plus given information on UK suppliers.

This wasn’t the end of the trip. We continued to visit another 3 vineyards. All of them as welcoming to Paul, Evidence and us as the previous. We learned all about South Africa’s signature grape variety, the Pinotage and tasted some outstanding wines.

Yes, tourist offices and hotel concierge will all offer trips to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and you will indeed be able to taste and purchase local wines. However, if you want a truly personal trip with no wasted time, special treatment and great company, then I’d advise you to book with the Zantsis. We did and feel extremely privileged to have had the experience.”
